HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT THIS THURSDAY!
Our annual Holiday Band Concert is this Thursday, December 19th at 6:30PM at the Whitney MAC! Get in the holiday spirit with all your favorite tunes from our jazz and concert bands. Admission is just $10 for adults, $8 for students, and children 3 and under are free if they are sitting on your lap. If you would like them to have their own seat, you must purchase a ticket for them. TICKETS ARE ONLINE, PRE-SALE ONLY – no walk-ups please.

STUDENTS: Please keep practicing DAILY with a metronome so you are individually prepared for the concert. ATTENDANCE AT THESE REHEARSALS IS MANDATORY TO PERFORM IN THE CONCERT.

Mon 12/16 – Combined Band / Wind Ensemble 3:30-6:00PM
Tue 12/17 – Jazz Band rehearsal 2:00-4:30PM
Wed 12/18 – Combined Band / Wind Ensemble run-through 2:00-4:30PM

Thu 12/19 – Holiday Band Concert 6:30PM @ Whitney HS (student call time 5:00PM)
On Thursday, please make arrangements to take your instrument, music, and everything you need for the concert. Student CALL TIME on Thursday is 5:00PM at Whitney HS to set up on stage, warm up, and sound check for the concert bands and jazz bands. Everyone will need to help with stands, chairs, and percussion equipment both for the set up as well as the tear-down after the concert.
STUDENT ALL-BLACK CONCERT ATTIRE:
Option #1) Long-sleeve, collared, black button-up dress shirt/blouse, black dress pants/slacks, tucked in with belt, black dress shoes/flats/heels, long black socks
Option #2) Long, black concert gown/dress (must go below the knees - NOT A SKIRT)
Wear a Santa hat or fun/festive/holiday hat!

605 ALL-STAR BAND – We have rehearsal this Sunday 12/22. Front Ensemble members will have rehearsal at Gahr HS from 8AM-10AM to finish learning the BandFest music. Everyone has rehearsal at Holifield Park in Norwalk from 10:30AM-3:30PM. Bring your instrument, music, water, and a snack. Wear a hat, your 605 t-shirt, and athletic shoes. INDOOR PERCUSSION – We have an important rehearsal camp this Friday from 10AM-6PM. Following rehearsal on Friday at 6PM, we have an Indoor Percussion Parent Information Meeting in the Band Room to go through the rehearsal schedule, competition schedule, and donations. On Saturday, we have a rehearsal camp from 9AM-4PM. Please bring $5 for lunch both Friday and Saturday.
FALL DONATIONS PAST DUE — The total balance of $675 for marching donations is past due. We cannot pay our instructors without your contribution. Students must be caught up with fall donations to participate in the Winter Guard and the Indoor Percussion programs. We accept cash, checks made payable to "Gahr Band Boosters," or you can click here to make a payment online. Please communicate with Mr. Loney if you have any issues with your financial obligation.
